11:11 Tinto y Carretera

The Experience

About the Trip

What it actually means to ride the Andes with 11:11.

Back to Home

This isn't a rental. It's an expedition.

Every 11:11 Tinto y Carretera experience is a fully guided, small-group motorcycle expedition through the mountains around Medellín and beyond. You don't get handed a set of keys and a map — you get a guide who rides beside you, a support vehicle within reach, and an itinerary built around real roads, real culture, and real access to a Colombia most travelers never see.

How each journey runs

A local guide leads every ride, sets the pace to the group, and handles the logistics — routes, fuel stops, hotel check-ins, and anything unexpected — so you can focus on the road. Groups stay small, four to eight riders, across all six experiences: a day on The Sleeping Giant, the full-board Journey to Jardín, Tectonic Waters, or The Roof of the Andes, our five-day Grand Condor Journey, or the fifteen-day ultra-premium traverse.

Who it's for

Most riders who join us are comfortable, confident motorcyclists — solid experience on paved roads, at ease on the occasional stretch of gravel, but not necessarily off-road specialists. Our routes are chosen for scenery and access, not to test hardcore enduro skills, so you don't need dirt-bike experience to enjoy any of our six experiences. First-time visitors to Colombia, couples, small groups of friends, and solo travelers are all welcome — every group is led by a guide, so nobody rides alone.

What you need to join

  • A valid motorcycle license (bring the physical card)
  • A valid passport
  • Minimum age 18, accompanied by a guardian if under 21 — no upper age limit
  • Comfort riding a motorcycle on paved and light gravel roads

  • Personal expenses and souvenirs

Safety & insurance

Every motorcycle carries SOAT, Colombia's mandatory insurance, covering emergency medical care for riders, passengers, and third parties. It doesn't cover damage to the motorcycle, theft, personal belongings, or non-emergency evacuation, so we recommend independent travel insurance for anything beyond that. Your guide carries a tool kit, tire-repair kit, and spare tubes on every ride, and a support vehicle is always within reach on multi-day expeditions.
