Escudería 11:11: the myth that started with a thermos of coffee
Coffee, engines, and dirt — how a racing squad was forged, now running the Adventure class at Gladiadores Medellín and Motomad.
The Legend
The story of a myth on two wheels
I. The Origin — A Thermos, a Flat Tire, and a Promise
Every myth starts with a small scene. This one starts on the shoulder of a backroad in Antioquia, with a stranded motorcycle, a flat tire, and a group of riders who, until that afternoon, had never met. Someone pulled out a thermos of tinto — coffee brewed that same morning, still warm — and poured it into plastic cups while they waited for a tow truck that never came on time. That shared coffee on the roadside became a habit, the habit became a ritual, and the ritual, years later, became a name: Tinto y Carretera. Nobody set out to found anything that afternoon. They just decided to ride together again the following Sunday.
